That's interesting. If he was calling his own pitches is it possible he shook off location?

That’s an idea. There would be 89 opportunities.

Interesting. Good of Gray to say that about the young catcher.

Recently, a brilliant analyst said this:
"Right now, he is easily the best catcher (defensively) from the group which has populated the roster this year.
The pitching staff and the coaches have made it very clear that he is the one they trust."

Wow. Is this as brilliant as your prediction that Carlson would be a star?
Or signing Conforto and Chris Taylor (to play 2b!)?
Ha ha ha.

For many years here, I’ve listened to posters like you denigrate the contributions of a catcher calling a game. I heard it about Yadi for his entire career. It’s ridiculous.
Pages is much a part of that 1 hitter as Gray was.

Pages is doing a helluva job behind the plate.

And yet we have a thread someone started:
"Can we stop with how great Pages is behind the plate"?

Does this guy know anything about baseball?

Gray seems like a great teammate when he pitches bad he blames himself when he pitches well he gives credit to the catcher. Pages could call a great game but unless the pitcher has good stuff and is executing his pitches he’s going to get hit and last night grays stuff was nasty. On cards talk though if a pitcher pitchers badly he sucked if he pitches well it’s thanks to the catcher
