He led the AL in ERA in 1970 and had his highest save total of 17 with the 1973 Cardinals that just missed the postseason that year.

Probably not too many father-son duos with 15+ years as a player in the MLB in history.

I so vividly remember his card as a Cardinal. His name was so exotic and as a 6 or 7 yo I remember trying to figure out how to pronounce it.
