good news is that is teachable to be more attack oriented. why he is still in minors learning how to pitch.

It was reported he was wearing long sleeves to prevent burn in this scorching heat. I am guessing the heat had a factor and the encumbrance of the sleeves. The other pitcher was reported to be having issues also.

As long as he isn't hurt, he'll get a handle on it. Hasn't pitched much this year and hasn't pitched much at AAA. He probably just needs to pitch more. Again, if he isn't hurt I wouldn't worry too much about it, he has always had decent control.

Correct. And the Durham pitcher was having trouble with the strikezone, too. Memphis bailed him out swinging in the first few innings.

It was a rotten muggy evening. Mathews' outing a few weeks ago where he fought command was against this same team. I don't think he likes Durham all too much.
