He always has been. He has good stuff and he leaves it in the middle of the plate a bit too often. If you look at Liberatore and Matz, there stuff is not that different. Liberatore somehow figured out better control this year. The difference is significant with essentially the same stuff.

On a cooler day that ball probably stays in the yard.

Hopefully the Matz era ends with a whimper rather than a bang....

I hated seeing him in there and to give up the 1st bomb of the year to a weak hitter like Hoerner is
