Miles Mikolas (TB)

Miles Mikolas has a market. Now, there is a sentence. He may not waive his no-trade clause. I could see him retiring after this season. If so, why go through the hassle of moving? He can pitch here for 2 months with no pressure, or expectations, collect his check and go home. If he wants to showcase himself a little bit for next year or wants to be involved in playoff baseball this season, then maybe he does waive the NTC. If he does, here’s a suggestion: Miles Mikolas and 3M (he will be owed about 6M more for this season at that time) to the Atlanta Braves for right-handed pitcher Garrett Baumann. Baumann is a 6’8” 245 lb righty pitching in high ball. At 20 years old, he is the Braves #9 prospect (21 of their top 30 are pitchers!). He has a 94-96 mph fastball and pitched 99 innings in his age 19 season.

Comment on the above, rank the below, or make suggestions of your own.
1) Mikolas plus 3M to Atlanta for Garrett Baumann.
2) Mikolas plus 3M to San Diego for Francis Pena.
3) Mikolas plus 3M to Texas for Emiliano Teodo.

I think it's good business to get any kind of return on a player with an expiring contract. As long as they're out of the division race. But as you say, whether or not he waves his nt is totally up to him.
