When the move was first made I thought, “almost makes up for Kittredge.”
Looking like an upgrade at this point. He’s been great and really like his seemingly calm and focused demeanor.

A lot of teams kicking themselves over that one. I am surprised no one signed him he was pretty good last season and would provide a veteran late inning arm cheaply. But never look a gift horse in the mouth he fell into the cardinals lap and has been huge for the cardinals this season

Needs a nickname. Thought “The Matador” sounded cool but apparently Alexis Diaz from Reds already claimed.

I wish they would sign him but they will fool around and let him get away.

I would trade him in July to some team desperate for late inning relief help. Heck, he may yield as much as Helsley at this stage.

He's not going to sign for a few million.
He's going to be looking to cash in like Kittredge did.
Cardinals aren't doing that.
What I think they should do and what I believe they'll do is two different things.

Just tweak the spelling. Matondor, something along those lines.
