It might be worth the price of admission to watch Tekoah Roby pitch to Sam Basallo.

I hope he does better today than he did on Tuesday night. Basallo crushed one off Roby over 412 feet.
though he did hang 3 K's on Kjerstad before he left the game.

I think I'll be back for the evening game with Springfield.
Enjoy your hot/sticky day ....those east of the Rockies. And enjoy whatever type of weather you have on the other side.
GO CARDS SYSTEM!!!

Basallo has to be close to getting the callup. 15 HRs in 192 PAs and OPS near 1.000 as a 20 year old in AAA. He’s amazing.

Roby still looking good in 5th inning. He’s though 5 after giving up a weak infield hit in the 5th. His stuff is good. The double earlier was off a very good curve.

Bryan Torres 1 for 2 with a HR (4th) and a walk
He’s quietly put together another really good year in the system.
2024 AA: .331/.418/.416
2025 AAA: .323/.467/.445
At what point does someone who’s hitting .323 with a 45 BB-28 K ratio in their first taste of AAA get a shot?

Great question on Torres. Prieto had some success as well and is hitting .296/.361/.470/.830 with 6 Hr and 42 RBI.

Watching the game now and, even tho I thought Torres looked small, he's listed at a Munchkin-like 5'7" and 165 lbs. And he's 27. He's played everywhere in his career (inc. catcher), but mostly all three OF spots this year.
Prieto is 5'9" and 195, and he's 26—mostly 3b this year but also 2b and SS.
Church is dominating, but again, he's 5'10, 180.
This organization likes small guys.
The one I'd hope to see come out is Church, as VSII is struggling and they don't need Barrero. Church could actually help.

That was none more apparent than the 2024 draft, too.
Church 3 for 5 today with his 2nd triple of the game. Guy is hitting .426 with a 1.149 OPS for Memphis so far. One day he will cool off and he’ll probably be wearing a Cardinals jersey.
