I got an alert and watched the last few innings of this game today. Gage Wood was beyond spectacular and the only flowers are breaking ball that caught a batter in the toe on a two strike count. He just made himself a lot of money for his future.

Sorry. I didn’t realize this was being covered in the draft thread.

I think he was projected over the Cubs at pick number 17 but that’ll change – and it’ll be great if he doesn’t go to the Cubs!

I didn’t realize it was a strike out when the batter intentionally gets hit with two strikes, but that was Wood’s 18th K.

No-hitter in the CWS. Awesome. Though I am sad to see this year's cinderella story go down with a whimper, this is only the third no-hitter in College World Series history and the first since 1960. His would have been the first Perfect Game. Again, awesome to see.

He is Spencer Strider reincarnate

Low arm angle is a Mark Prior injury risk

Like Strider, he’s listed at 6 foot, but he looks a little shorter but stocky and barrel chested. I agree on the arm angle but that seems to be his power source.

It’s an arm angle with a hot 4 seamer, lots of swing and miss at top of zone, long carry on his heater,

Problem is low arm slot, high velo guys are susceptible to injury

I watched todays game and and he was overpowering at top of zone

He made a lot of money today and could be a top 10 pick.

Strider is a great comparison

I’m hoping LSU don’t see him.
