I can see solid reasoning behind the speculation in these articles.
I would keep Donovan and deal Noot unless the return for Donovan is an overpay.

I agree, at least not this year, unless they are convinced that Saggese can replace Donovan. I don't think that will happen until at least next year.

It reads like speculation, although good idea (Nootbaar, not Donovan). Do they have a pitcher we'd want in return.

If Cardinals scuffle and lose the White Sox series , you may see a lot more rumors on the Cardinals . Losing to them might signal to FO it is time to start considering trades prior to the deadline.

I would deal Noot, Nado and Helsley quick! I would re-explore Gray, Mikolas (since he has been serviceable this year), Contreras and Matz
Time to reboot this org! Maybe Moe and Marmol can just be gone too

Trade Nootbaar at an all-time low value but don’t trade fedde and helesley over the winter. If they trade him while he’s performing this poorly that would be a textbook cardinals move.

Trading Donovan now if the return was a bit of an overpay would be a smart move. But I believe nothing written in these rumor mill blogs.

Well, in Boston the fans are very angry about the trade . I would venture to guess that the return for Donovan could be viewed the same way by Cardinal fans.

I wouldn't trade Donovan, but Noot may get a nice return. Gorman could play 2B and Donovan could move right into LF.

Donovan is attractive and a good fit…but as another pointed out, the H system is weak
They have some promising young pitching, but with Framber walking this winter, they want to hold on to them
Good luck with Donovan…..he’s an attractive chip
