To be fair, the return is more than hicks. Its hicks and.kyle.harrison as well as low level prospects Jose Bello and james tibbs.

Perhaps the difference in contract values traded was the point of the trade: $255M vs. $29M.

Hick's remaining salary was $28M cash sent from the Red Sox to the Giants to reduce the total cost of Devers contract.

The Giants followed the advice of the genius brigade on this forum and converted Hicks into a starter. That was a seller decision.

Why can't Mo dump Arenado and his bad contract. Sorry you couldnt understand my point. I thought it would be assumed by most that Devers is the last guy the Cardinals would want.
