1) Is Pages catching/hitting more beneficial to Cardinals than Herrera catching/hitting?

2) If burly just needs to dh , can Herrera catch more often , Pages be back up ?

3) Send Pozo down and bring up another of to to replace Burly in right and then Noot in left when Walker returns?

thanks

Herrera needs a new position. Not catching.

Would he be better in right than Burly?

This was already litigated in a prior thread.

Not for nothing, but you never construct your lineup around a 1 tool player...even if he's hitting well at the time. Never compromise the rest of your position players, pitchers for a 1 tool player. And putting Herrera in at catcher over Pages will (bleep) off the pitching staff. They like throwing to Pages and prefer him.

You plug him in where you can, and be happy if he produces a result. He's hitting well with no one on base at the moment, I'd plug him in a lead off or 9th in the lineup to give Donovan and Herrera a chance to drive in more runs.

Probably a week or more.
I think run prevention is key with
a team that already has a good offense.
Leave Ivan at DH and play Pages I say.

1. Pages is the better defensive catcher. Herrera is better offensively though he's come back to earth a bit.

2. Burley should never face lefty pitching. Burley can face righties but Herrera is the better option at DH.

3. Pozo needs to be the backup catcher. He's done okay and I think he's better at catcher than Herrera. Up to this point Noot has to play because of OBP but he's underwhelming otherwise. I don't think Burley or Noot is the real answer at either position to be honest, but you never know when a player is going to turn a corner.

Pages is more valuable as a catcher. Ivan's hitting is returning to his mean of a 750'ish OPS
Cards may have only one 800+ OPS hitter at the end of the year.

There are like 2 starters you can build around on the field...this team is lacking at almost every position

A group of players that aren't a problem, might excel elsewhere players.

Which means fans shouldn't get overly attached to any player not many on the untouchable
list if any.

I don't see any build around players except maybe Winn. Everyone else is expendable

OF prospects do not compare to MI or catcher.

Joshua Baez has resurrected and, if he can keep it up anywhere near where he’s been hitting, could be an every day OF. Let’s see how he does the rest of the season and then in AAA.

Nathan Church is great fielder and fast, and although he’s en fuego right now, I don’t know if he’s better than VSII or Siani.

We all had hopes for Koperniak but he’s short the bed this year.

This year it's Antico being the Koperniak of last year
