That's about as bad a thing as you can do to a player, questioning his fortitude (re: courage). 8O

A lack of talent should not be confused with a lack of guts…

Nevertheless….the most remarkable thing about this story is that it came from the Post Disgrace

while I like Van Slyke, he's comparing apples and oranges. I mean outfielders can spend 7 innings without breaking a sweat due to no balls hit to them, but relievers have to be full-out for every pitch nder stressful conditions
