Position Players Set?

The Cardinals rank #7 among 30 teams right now in runs scored. Without full blown development of Walker and Gorman.
Is the offense set for awhile? The position players are under control for -
Donovan - through 2027
Winn - through 2029
Arenado - through 2027
Herrera - through 2029
Contreras - through 2027
Nootbaar - through 2027
Scott - through 2030
Walker - through 2029
Gorman - through 2028
Burleson - through 2028
Wetherholt - through at least 2032
Bernal - through at least 2032
Crooks - through at least 2031
Saggese - through at least 2030
Maybe add an outfielder?
Isn't future pitching the true concern?

I’d like to see Bill buy some first rate players. You know, someone your kid or grandkid would want to go see. These guys are by and large AAAA players.

Noot, Nado, and TGAB should be dealt at some point IMO. Money or assets should be spent on acquiring a true MOTO thumper. I'd get Herrera an OFer glove and start working him in LF this off season.

They have developed a good core and need to keep improving it. Gorman has no future here, IMO, and as much as I like Burly he is somewhat expendable.
Still, the main areas for improvement are pitching, pitching, and pitching.

Set?
NO
But I'm sure BDWJr would be giddy to run out those LOW WAGE players.
-The OF needs at least one, if not two hitters better than what you've listed.
-NADO is going to be shopped again this coming offseason and there's not a quality power hitter (Gorman isn't the answer unless he proves it the reminder of this season which is shaky at best) in the organization to replace him. This is a power position, not the place for a Donovan or Saggese type hitter in line to play 3rd base.
-Catcher has some interesting kids on the way. Hopefully one will be both a solid hitter as well as a quality backstop. Pages/Pozo are backups, not first line catchers.
Many holes to fill.
BDWJr will have to give C. Bloom the same $175-180M payroll he gave Mo to become a serious playoff contender.

IMO the bullpen will always be something put together from 1-2 year FA signings, failed MiLB starters, etc.
I will agree that the signing of at least 1 TOR starter would be vital to the teams short term success.

Division winners and WS contender get there a few different ways. The Cardinals least favorite way is to buy it.
A key trade or 3 need to happen. Some of your list may be involved in that.
Sonny happened due to a short term; they would be unlikely to do that AAV for 5-6 years even IF he were younger.
Cards will need to grow a TOR, or trade for one, or possibly rent one like a Verlander, Cole, Johnson, or Schilling from days gone by.
Does a deGrom fit that? The lower SP's 3-6 can come from anywhere, such as Lynn, Gibson, Pallante, Fedde show.

How many of those players are considered Star players? How many are even ranked in the top 50? Name me a recent team that won a world series without at least one star position player? Enough to maybe make the playoffs occasionally, maybe even get past first round but doubtful.
Best position player on the team is Donovan and he is likely gone after 2027. The team needs to hope at least one or not two of these young players take the next step up to that Star level.
Winn or Walker could, maybe Wetherholt or Herrera otherwise they may need to package a deal for one as doubtful you are outbidding the major market teams in free agency.

I think they will try again this winter to trade Arenado and Willie. Along with some of the younger group, possibles are Burly, Noot, Gorman, a catcher (no not Ivan), and ?????
Could be a lot of turnover, Helsley, Fedde, Miles, Matz, and more

Wow, Rojo. Team mainly made up of AAAA players ranks 7th in MLB in runs scored. Amazing.

Agreed. They need some power in the lineup so I wouldn’t say it’s set. But it should certainly be on the back burner for rotation/bullpen help.

Yes, a RH hitting outfielder with power is a major need.
Pitching is the most obvious concern.
