Between now and July 6th, we have 4 games against the Brewers, 3 games against the Reds, and 7 games against the Cubs. That is 14 games in 25 days against the top division foes.
We will know at that point whether we should consider buying anything to assist in a playoff run.

Ok. What does the 14 game result need to be to be a buyer? Brewers I am guessing at best a split. Cubs 3-4. Reds 2-1. Not sure I’m a buyer on that result.Basil Shabazz wrote: ↑12 Jun 2025 07:20 am Between now and July 6th, we have 4 games against the Brewers, 3 games against the Reds, and 7 games against the Cubs. We know now. It’s been 60 games. Those games just give us mathematical proof.

Oh, I still think we should be actively selling off our biggest contracts, such as Nado & Mikolas. I'd also suggest that we should sell Helsley in the right deal. But that does not mean we cannot add some bullpen help similar to the Rasmus trade in 2011 if we are within a game or two of the division after the run to 7/6.ecleme22 wrote: ↑12 Jun 2025 07:56 amGet back to you July 6th?Basil Shabazz wrote: ↑12 Jun 2025 07:20 am Between now and July 6th, we have 4 games against the Brewers, 3 games against the Reds, and 7 games against the Cubs. I mean, you did call the team fools gold and made no mention of adding at the deadlineBasil Shabazz wrote: ↑12 Jun 2025 08:02 amOh, I still think we should be actively selling off our biggest contracts, such as Nado & Mikolas.
