Nado leads this team in HRs

Goldy led the team last year.
How do we develop more power from our internal prospects? Is it drafting or is it development, because there just isn’t enough there to make this a great lineup without adding players from other systems?
Or should we just keep trading certain prospects/players for true power hitters from elsewhere like we did with McGwire, Edmonds, Rolen, Holliday, Ozuna, Goldy, Nado or signing them like Beltran and Willson (assuming his power ever really takes off like it did with the Cubs)

Your post makes no sense. All our roster has access to the exact same regimens. Whatever that is.

Nado is tied for the team lead in HRs. He’s tied with Noot and Contreras. And Herrera has 1 less than them in about 100 less PAs than each of them.

I think we will have at least 2 guys assuming they stay healthy. Herrera and Contreras.

Maybe. Ironically both started slow- Willy in a slump and IH not getting at bats. All things equal, both would have about 12 now.

Our last "home grown" masher was Pujols.
The others were traded for or signed.
The ballclub may not know this but that's the way its going to have to be again that's why I pushed for Harper when he was available.
A generational player just reaching his prime in a legacy baseball town but Dewitt and the boys on Clark Street never got the memo.

There was carp for a few years. Also TO though he was a prospect trade. As was Ludwick.
But yeah getting another real mash is going to have to come from trade or signings. We just don’t seem to draft or develop power very well.
