Someone tell me, is there not a better option than Vlade?

This guy swings at balls in the dirt and half a foot outside. Why would a pitcher ever give him anything to hit? Surely there is a better option in the minors. Why do they keep playing these rejects that can't hit?

Yes. There’s Walker. Swinging with 1 arm he would be (at least somewhat) better.

Just call up Baker if it's this important that they be a righty. Donovan in LF and Mooty in RF can work for a little bit. Then Barrero and Gorman can share 2B.
Is it ideal? No. Is it better than the black hole that is Vilade? Definitely.
Edit: oh I forgot about Burleson. Put him in LF and leave Donovan at 2B if you prefer.
