McGreevy: Sunday or Monday

With the double header on Thursday, the Cards will not have a rested starter for Monday unless they use Matz who pitched yesterday.
I'd say that McGreevy is the starter on Monday vs the Blue Jays and he stays in a 6-man rotation for June and Munoz gets sent down to make room.

Pallante on Monday.

Pallante on Monday.
Pallante needs a rest.

McGreevy on Sunday would give Pallante 5 days of rest to pitch on Monday. That's nice for Pallante.
McGreevy on Monday would give the Cards an 8th reliever on Sunday (one extra day).
I think the Cards need a strategy for their bullpen with 12 games in 11 days and 28 games in 28 days and 7 relievers instead of 8 relievers. Otherwise, the bullpen could get burned out quickly.
Matz is no longer stretched out but he could be a bullpen innings eater as a piggy back starter every 4 or 5 days.
So could Graceffo but he was optioned and can't return until 15 June.
They can swap out their 13th pitcher to Memphis and get a fresh one once in a while but then they can't bring them back for 15 days.
They will likely push the starters to 100 pitches and try to get an extra out or two from them, since they will all get 5 days of rest.
It will be interesting to see how they manage this.

With Pallante being tough on LHB, I think he is a better matchup against the Dodgers than McGreevy.
A RHP may see 6 LHB against a Dodgers lineup and even the RHB are going to be tough outs.
