Cardinals gain 1/2 game on Phillies . St. Louis (33-27 ) now 3 1/2 games back of the No. 1 wildcard spot Phillies ( 37-24 )

Romano gives 2-run game winning HR to Kirk.
2nd time this week I saw Romano in the 9th.
IMO not a very good closer.

Phillies need Helsley
They sure do need a Helsley. If they can lose more close ones in the next month and a half , it could be even more pressure on them to act at the deadline.

An idea. Plus you only see him six or seven times a year moving forward max.
Where trading Helsley hurts Stl is a head to head matchup in post season.
Then he makes a difference. Not before.
