The Cardinals are doing well vs. teams that are greater than .500.. 16-13 record
Only the Mets & Dodgers in the NL (besides Cardinals ) have a winning recrord vs. the +.500 teams
The Phillies, Cubs, Padres, Giants, and Brewers are all sub .500 vs the winning teams .

They just issued a flood advisory. Heavy rains may cause driving issues. May have played a role.

Live Gate would be tiny due to weather and people passing on driving downtown in storms

Cubs load the bases in the 1st with 0 outs and come away empty. Nice!

With the rainout, the Cards will now play 6 games in the next 5 days (forcing 6 starters) and 13 games in the next 12 days and 28 games in the next 28 days.
Might be a good time to insert McGreevy into a 6-man rotation. They could option Munoz to make room.
It would also be smart to let Matz throw 3 or 4 innings from the bullpen every 4 or 5 days to give the bullpen a breather. Hopefully, he's pitching well enough to last that long. With some longer outings, he can basically cover the innings of 2 relievers which allows the use of a 6th starter. Graceffo could also do the same.
