Which Cruz are you taking

Elly or Oneil

Which Cruz would you pick to build your team around? Seems like the hype machine has centered its beam on each of them at times. Maybe Elly was the most talked about Cruz for a little while, but Oneil Cruz is having some season. A true 3 outcome player, he's got a K rate of 32% but a walk rate over 15%, helping him to a .353 on base to go with a .227 average. He's on pace for 30+ HR and 50 steals. Apparently he hasn't shown himself to be a "natural" centerfielder. See if he improves I guess.

Man the Pirates. Any team, including us, would take Skenes and Cruz in a heartbeat. What a shame they don't have anything to build around that. Not a shame for the Cardinals.

Elly is going no where for 2-3 more years. I’ve already suggested trading for O’Neil. Let’s do it

Oneil.

Elly is going to turn into early Detroit Javy Baez. Massive, massive talent, but lets the massive talent get in the way of actually knowing how the game works. If I had a dime for every EDLC "highlight" reel of him uncorking a rocket from shortstop that sails high/left/right of the first baseman but travels at 100+mph, I'd probably have some decent coins.

Plus, I saw that he's already surpassed Tony Gwynn in career strike outs. I know the game's changed since Tony's time, and he was a singular contact type hitter, but geesh.
