I think these numbers are correct.

Cards and Cubs have both been great but Cubs record is right in sync with their pythag.

Philly is over-performing, Giants and Braves can't get out of their own way, Rockies need to get a grip, and how bout those Nats?

Maybe but I doubt it. Yanks were 21-7 as recently as May last year.

20-5 in July 2004
21-7 in August 2004
25-8 August 1942
21-4 September 1942

Those are the first two seasons I spot checked since they were two of their winningest seasons.

Those are best months I see. I’m thinking this is one of our best Mays.

Either way it ranks well with Cardinal history. Good input.

The 2004 team went 41-12 over 2 months

29 games over in 56 days (minus All Star break) in July and August.

Per mlbdotcom, it’s the best month of baseball for St. Louis since it went 22-7 in August 2022. It’s the Cardinals’ best May since 2013, when they went 20-7.

Thanks for the research. That's a lot of games in the dog days of August, especially the 33 played in 1942!

+1 it’s frustrating but still great to see. We are at least in the playoff hunt. Keep it going in June!

20 win months are great, but I'd take 19 win months anytime ................... or all season long. 8O Wouldn't that be fun.
