Blow outs happen

Good morning.
You’d think an 11-1 blowout is bad. Not really. Has the very same affect as a 2-1 lose. One game.
Generally the blown out team bounces back. Usually the team that scores 11 then scores one.
Eventually we had to lose a game; a series; a blowout. Good for the soul. Humbles a man. Doesn’t show a losing team.
What really hurts is it was our Ace. He didn’t have it. Coming into this game he was 0-3 with 2 No Decisions in his five games on the road.
He’s not Pallante. He’s not a road Warrior. That’s not good.
It was a blow out. They happen.

He was due for a bad outing as were the Rangers due for a game like last night, bad mojo.
And Pallante has a Road ERA of 4.43 ERA and is being battered for an .800 OPS, not a "Road Warrior" BDog (and I know you're counting team wins but those wins mostly came courtesy of the OFFENSE).

Good morning, back at you, Bulldog. Good point. Blow outs will happen. Important to get right back on the horse and start playing good baseball One game at a time. I would love it if we're in position to apply real pressure to the Cubs by the time that we face them.

Well said but regarding Libby let’s not throw the baby out with the bath water. He has been much better and shows promise. At least more than last couple of years.

I know you want Pallante sent down. However, he is a great number five pitcher. Couldn’t ask for a better number five.

I think Pallante has been what he is. A number 4/5 pitcher. He ain't going no where. He's fine.

Today is a key game with Gray on the mound. Need him to be the "stopper" like you say Bdog. Win today and you can win the series tomorrow.
After last night's loss, we're now even with our Pythagoraen record.

oh man -- you sleep like a baby after an 11-1 thrashing -- not one thing you likely could have done would have changed the potential outcome. its the 2-1 or 3-2 losses that cause you to toss and turn thinking about all the what ifs. losses happen --- no one has ever been 162-0. sleep it off and come out ready today.

Gray had several stops in the first of year. Your right. Need one now.

Actually I want Pallante to go down so he can re-discover what he found last year when sent down and that's how to get RHH'ers out.
IF opposing Managers start to stack their lineups w/RHH'ers, then he's in trouble and that doesn't help the team.
The better option in the rotation right now is to give M. McGreevy the shot he deserves in this "runway" season.

These guys do not carry over a pounding from one day to the next. Just another game the next day . Whether they won big, lost big, or close either way , it's a new day . Pros don't look in the rearview mirror. Fans do but not the players.

How often that happens; a team blows out a team and then gets shut down. Great win. Stopped a losing streak. On the road. Bet we kill tmrw.

And that's exactly what happened. 33-25 coming home for 3 vs KC and 3 vs the Dodgers.

Don't get why some worry so much about 'let's not throw the baby out with the bath water' . In our family , that happened every now and then.
We just had more kids AND one of the 10 did live long enough to graduate from HS. Think the reason he made it longer than the others is that we switched him to the shower earlier than the others.
