He comes up with a 20 game hitting streak course the genius Mo thinks he needs to change his batting stance ….. now he’s finally hitting again and of course we sit him out every other game… I wonder why we haven’t developed a stud hitter in years

Maybe. He also has horrific plate discipline and an OBP hovering around .300. Unless he cleans up his swing decisions, pitchers could figure out where to attack him.

Kind of agree with you on this one. He’s a special player and super talented and I would love him on the cardinals but with just 9 walks and 61 strikeouts in 59 games I don’t know why they throw him strikeouts he will certainly strikeout and won’t take a walk

He would’ve been out of the lineup two games ago, but Donovan had a hurt hip so then Walker played and had two hits including a triple….. Walker has been one of our best hitters lately. He should never be out of the lineup.

I don't think Armstrong has the juice to really last. I see him being a Harrison Bader type. Capable of getting white hot, but once he gets adjusted to, he's got more holes than swiss cheese. But also fast and defensively reliable at a premium position.
Can't wait for the league to figure him out.

They messed up Walker two years ago. You can’t go back in time and change that. My understanding is they tried to correct the errors of their philosophy and allow Walker to go back to the hitter he was before they messed him up. Now it’s on Walker to continue to develop. Not sure why we are dragging up the poor decisions of two years ago as that’s old news.

As far as Pete Crow-Armstrong, I would keep an eye on his MVP caliber numbers and put him on my schedule for some 'randomized" PED blood tests. And that goes for Carson Kelly, too. But maybe I'm still just too skeptical.
