BA and runs scored are a mystery to me with neither Gorman nor Walker hitting, though Walker is showing signs and does have good numbers with RISP. Then, you have Arenado who is actually hitting worse than last season and Contreras vastly underperforming. Scott has been below average as well. To be 7th in runs scored is a head scratcher but I’ll take it. Seems to me there is room for improvement. We’ll probably see Donovan decline from where he is now, but the under performers have a good chance of improving.

Good reply ! Walker's hitting went from the .180's -.190's level up to .215 now . In the past few weeks, the guy has been well over .300 and getting many RBI's . In fact , he is just one shy of Donovan now. .Who would think that ? So yes, over the full year , Walker's average is not very good but since early May , he is doing very well .

I would like to see them take more walks, mainly situationally with pitchers who are clearly struggling with control.

Yes, BA and runs scored is a bit of a mystery. Especially since doubles are so high. I wonder where they rank in BA RISP.
On the pitching side, they rank 13th in both ERA and WHIP, and 29th in strike outs. 14th in earned runs given. That’s also interesting. Tribute to the defense.

They are 3rd in MLB at .272 w/RISP and 7th with .765 OPS. They also have the 3rd most PAs and ABs. A tribute to high BA and a lot of doubles.
