Tarik Skubal the Stud; O'Neil Cruz the Freak

Sunday's game in Murder City vs. Milwaukee saw 94 pitches from the Tigers' Tarik Skubal for his first MLB complete game. His 94th was clocked at 103 mph.
In Pittsburgh, Pirates CF'er O'Neil Cruz, fielding a ball in mid-CF, (over)threw home...nearly into the box seats. Then he came to bat and hit a Cruz missile that cleared the top row behind RF at PNC Park in 3.25 seconds, going 123 mph off the bat, before landing in the river. Good thing no fan tried to catch it or we'd have had another PNC Park fan casualty.

Probably the fact that he is clearly condescending ("Murder City"... "
another fan casualty") combined with the fact that he only ever pops in over here to talk off topic about either himself or something he imagines makes himself sound clever.

Well, I enjoyed the commentary. Not sure why you incite some, but, I wouldn't let it bother you.

I enjoyed the baseball post too. Some people are too easily triggered.
Skubal allowed just two hits, didn't walk anyone, and whiffed 13. Even for him that's being on.

A complete game shutout in under 100 pitches is a Maddux. Skubal's thirteen Ks in just 94 pitches.are the most for a Maddux. Skubal joins Justin Verlander as the second starter to record multiple Ks on 101+ mph pitches in the seventh inning or later since these stats were tracked.
