It could get ugly with the schedule of the Cardinals compared to the Cubs. A great test coming up.

We could certainly take a downturn but I wouldn’t call losing two games to the best team in baseball sliding.

3 games back in the division and only 1 game back in the WC.

Same could’ve been said a week ago. And the week before that. They’ve been surviving better than anyone thought considering disparity in schedules. If you told me 3 weeks ago they’d be 3 back at this point, I’d have happily taken it.

This team is pretty solid and entertaining, but those two Cubs series in late June thru July 4th weekend will reveal if they’re a contender or not. It should be the driving factor in determining buy vs. sell at deadline, that is, if management isn’t still fully committed to embracing losing. Maybe Mo has one more run in him being his last year?

Tougher schedule? Cubs just played Miami and the white Sox the past 10 days. The Cards played the Phils,Royals and Tigers. Cards have already played some of the best teams in baseball.

I think that’s what they meant that we’re facing a tougher schedule right now.

BUT the Cubs had the toughest schedule in baseball for the first month and a half. It’s only recently that their schedule got easier.

Our first 3 games vs the NL West happen this weekend, while the Cubs have faced the NL West 23 times (and none of those 23 times were the Rockies).

"Sliding"? :?

Lose 2/3 to the best team in MLB after being the hottest team(along w/the Twins) in MLB and now they're "sliding"?

C'mon man

No, it's fact, as well as exceptionally needy and lonely.

So, what's the prediction for the Cardinals after the June 15 game with the Brewers? I say they will be at least 5 games out. And I hope that 's all they are out. They have a very challenging schedule through June 15.

They do. And it’s exactly the he schedule needed to assist in the assessment of the young during this reset.

Shows duration. Character. Failure. And success.

As of now , if this was off season, only 1-2 would not make the cut moving forward.

That’s the intent.
