I too want them to groom him as a starting pitcher. That said, his inability to stay healthy may force him into the pen. Leave him in the rotation as long as you can. The exceptions to that this year, in my opinion, is if he gets capped out on innings, or if the Cardinals are in a legit race for the division title for the last 6 weeks of the season. Agreed. He should develop as a starter but, exigency could get him to St Louis late for work, either bullpen or starting. Roby is very talented whether you realize it or not. His current ERA on the season is 3.10. Check out his most recent start. Hope he maintains his durability. He's been rather injury prone as a pro in the past.
