I don't think the birds bashes are coming back. I believe a lot of them are starting to realize that this is a tough game and a tough league. That their bashing ways don't work and they just want to be happy rooting for their team. I think they have come to their senses and want to try and be positive towards creating a positive present and future. They've figured out bashing might work in the short term but ends up just wrecking what they really want. I've noticed a shift in the attitude as now the bashers are trying to be more logical and reasonable in their bashing. They are on the losing side.

The Cardinals aren’t as good as they have played on this hot streak. Shocker. Doesn’t mean they are terrible either.

Cardstalk seems to be all or nothing.

I am certainly not a basher. But, I also am not a sunshine pumper. If they play well I compliment and celebrate. If they stink I have no problem pointing that out and being annoyed.

And, if their latest unqualified manager continues making baffling decisions......

How is he unqualified?

A few posters are so bummed that the Cardinals could not win this series. Is there expectation that the Cards will win EVERY 3-game series the rest of the year ?
Who does that? Nobody. Didn’t I hear the LAD just lost their series to Angels?

Yea they weren’t going to win every series I think oli managed the first loss well I had no problem with leaving lehay in. Now If they had pulled him after 1/3 of an inning and went to helsley in the 9th and maton in the 10th then had to bring in roycroft or king or someone in the 11th and they blew it I would have bashed him and said lehay is one of if not the best reliever on the team right now why would he pull him after a 1/3 of an inning he should have let him go another inning and push back the bad relievers by an inning. So oli managed it well in my opinion it didn’t work. The second game yea roycroft sucks but they lost 5-1 those games happen. The tigers are good their record is what it is for a reason

Yes, it does. Many CT posters use a lot of superlatives, lots of hyperbole, lots of absolutes. The biggest problem with taking that path is that baseball is a 162 game season. No snapshot tells the whole story, nor will a snapshot of today fit next week or next month. Some marriages don’t last as long as a full season of baseball.

It's a baseball season dude. The run they just went on, they were bound to lose a few at some point. I'm not worried about it. I wanna see how they respond though.

I am not looking to argue with a stranger. Especially one who was pretty snarky to me the other day for no reason. That being said I love to talk about baseball. So .....


I have watched a lot of baseball. On the whole I have not been impressed with Oli's management decisions. I don't like his lineups and need to stick with things that aren't working. I haven't been impressed by his pitcher and bullpen management. I don't care for his demeanor in interviews. He seems so arrogant and has done little to warrant that attitude.

So I suppose for the sensitive out there I should have said ...
