He may get the final year of his (2026) contract if the team keeps playing great.

But unless C. Bloom believes he's the right guy going forward, then he could be out at seasons end or sometime in 2026.

I have to think BDWJr assured him he could select his own manager and not get stuck w/Mo's guy.

If they keep playing like this, they will have the best record in the NL. Is that what we think will happen? I've felt certain all along that he would be replaced, still kind of think that, but his decision making has been pretty good and the guys are playing well. Much steadier than seasons past.

This is the only sensible and logical answer to this question at this point in time without knowing where this season is truly headed.

He could win the WS and not be retained. Bloom has a say with no dog in this fight.

If he does, I don't mind, provided the want-to-hang-yourself traits he showed the last 2 seasons are permanently gone.

The new Oli I like:

-milk starters for everything you can get
-keep as many regulars in a regular lineup as you can
-use BP arms as sparingly as possible
-and the latest, moving non-performing bats down in the lineup

Not sure if he was kidnapped and replaced by an alien Oli or what, but this version's legit. Pretty shocking considering 2 months ago I may have left him dangling from an overpass if I happened to walk upon him. <--------FYI, that was a JOKE, Nancys
