A ridiculous 39 games of pitching

Remember about a week into the season after the terrible Boston series and everyone was worried about the pitching?
Since we left Boston, we’ve gone 23-16 (.590 winning%, 0.5 game back of Atlanta for best record in the NL) and allowed a NL lowest 129 runs. That is a remarkable 3.31 runs per game allowed.

I just hope we're better than the Cubs. Keep playing great against the better teams. Lately, I'm encouraged.

Take out the first Pirates game(Cards gave up 8 runs) after the Sox series, and it's a 23-15 run, allowing 3.18 R/G.

Keep this up and a WC slot comes to the central.

No, let’s take the division.
WC spots can go to the NL West or East.
We’re only 2 games behind the Dodgers now through 48 games. Dodgers went with an opener vs the Dbacks yesterday pulling an ole switcharoo on them after Landon Knack was seen as the probable starter and ended up costing them 3 runs in the first 2 innings. Trying to act like the smartest man in the room.

The Cubs could get the WC also.

Why sure. However if we are in a dogfight and we continue to win, that slot will move.

I’m counting on us to win division but a dogfight may constitute it.

Lots of good teams in the NL. The top 8-9 will all be in a dog fight and have to win.
Phillies
Mets
Braves
Cubs
Cardinals
Dodgers
Padres
Giants
Dbacks

Coupled w/a Top 10 offense and #1/#2 defense this could continue if they avoid injuries and Dewitt ordering a sell-off.

Another view. Not that I put a ton of stock into it.
