I agree with most, but I don’t agree with saying Noot wouldn’t sign an extension.

At this point I think it may be too late to sign either. If both continue to have very good years and being only a few years from free agency they may wait and see. I can see the fear of a lock out may spur one on to get some money up front with an extension if a big bonus up front is offered. I can see Donovan doing that as he has a family to support and in baseball terms not making a lot now. Getting money up front would lessen the blow of a lock out and lost wages.
I still see Nootbar wanting to join his buddies in LA. If that is the case best trade him with two years of control and get something significant in return.
