How do the Cardinals stack up to the Cubs?

I'm thinking the Cardinals offense and defense are right there with the Cubs. But, what about pitching? I'm still a little concerned about Cardinals older starting pitchers. As far as consistency and durability. The good thing, the starting pitching has some depth. With McGreevy and Matz. And the Cards relief corps seems to have some nice potential. It looks to be a fun summer for Cardinals fans.

why don't you look up Team Statistics and tell us what you find with Batting/Pitching/Fielding.
That should show you how they stack up. Then relay that info to us.
Good luck

Guru, it's not really about stats. It's about some really astute posters that know better than me about the Cubs. Again, just trying to cause trouble. Shameful behavior.

I think they can blow the flubs. If Nootbaar, Winn, Donovan, Contreras, Herrera, and Scott all continue to produce.

if it's not about the stats, then we can't assess how they stack up.
Give us Stats.
That would make for a great Convo.
Good Luck

And I know it's not very popular here. But Burly seems to be hitting his stride like last season before the All Star Game.

Your constant unimagitive speel demonstrates a very low IQ. But you probably have no clue. So, carry on, JO. This is my last response to your nonsense.

The cubs' offense is superior. They are second in the NL in HR, TB, SB, and BB, first in Runs scored and RBI.
They have lost their ace starting pitcher, Justin Steele, for the year with a UCL injury. Imanaga is currently on the IL with a hamstring strain and will probably be out until mid June. Taillon is struggling with a 4.53 ERA. Boyd and Rea are doing well lately. The bullpen is not good, with closer Pressly sporting an ERA of 6.91 and Hodge and Merryweather sucking as well.
So IMO the Cardinal bullpen is better, the current starting pitching is better, but the offense cannot match the cubs' power. Defensively the teams are probably about equal. Both teams have excellent fielding 2B, SS, and CF. Arenado is superior at 3B to any of the cubs' options.

Guru (craviducey), take note. This was a very informative post without the negativity you seem to thrive on with me. Grow up.

Don’t be dense.
We have a catcher. They have a catcher.
We have a left fielder. They have a left fielder.
Etc.
We stack up.
