Looks like the Cardinals may have found their #2 hole hitter for the next decade!
Since moving to the #2 hole:
59 PA's
4 HR
10 RBI's
12 Runs Scored
9 Walks
.347 .448 .673 1.122
Sure it's a small sample size but the early results are dramatic compared to what he did in 2024 when he was miscast as the lead-off hitter (.248 .290 .402 .692).
(And as a bonus, WillyC since moving to either the #5 hole: .370 .474 .696 1.169 or clean-up: .364 .417 .636 1.053)
Good move Oli

Amen. Every game I just keep thinking MOVE IVAN up and Nado DOWN. If Nado heats up, then fine, put him back. Nice to see Donnie get some hits again last night. IH just plain hits the ball. Nado does not make solid contact most ever AB, at least not now.

Bingo
I'm a fan of NADO"s but there comes a time in every players career where they just aren't the right fit for a slot in the order where they thrived for years.
NADO should hit 6th

You spend all off season saying he can't hit leadoff because he doesn't get on base. Then in May you say he might bat 2nd for the next decade. Good lord.

Huge difference hitting second compared to lead off.

Not to bright are you, big difference between the two slots and what's expected from the hitter.
He S U C K E D hitting lead-off where his job was to get on base (.290 OB%) and set the table, where was I wrong?
