plus Nado and Noot. Somehow, and largely thanks to great pitching, we keep winning, but long term we need to be more strategic about roster construction.

If Herrera could catch it would eleviate almost all of the lineup construction issues, but alas.

Arenado can't hit, either, for a cleanup guy.

Well one of those catchers is now a 1B, so that’s the way you have to view him. He’s a 1B man. Not a catcher. And he’s rated well as a defensive first baseman so far and his bat has definitely rebounded.

The other catcher is a DH because he can’t throw anyone out on the bases. But he can hit so we’re making room for him in the lineup.

And Nado should be hitting 6th or 7th.

And yet we have no one in the org who could do better both offensive and defensively. This will become a problem someday.

Time to move on Carp. Contreras is not a catcher anymore.

What I like about Pages is we are winning with him. Get Walker hitting and it's pretty solid day in day out. And move na to 6/7.

Contreras is a first baseman. He's played a fine first base. His catching days are history.

And I could be wrong, but I think we will be seeing Herrera DH a lot. Pitchers are thriving behind Pages/Pozo.

Exactly. Players change positions all the time. Nothing new and nothing to see here, so let's move along.

A true cleanup hitter would lengthen this lineup and would allow hitters to find their natural spot in it.

The roster hasn’t been a problem since they got smart and sent Siani doen and brought Barrero up now there won’t be any more pages playing second because they were dumb and had Siani on the team instead. Although I think they need to trade burleson and let Herrera DH every day since he hits right handers better than burly

Yeah, weird post.

WC isn’t a catcher anymore and IH is one of our best hitters.

What critical decisions do you mean?

and WC is really taking to 1b and is way better defensively than I thought he would be.
His learning curve has been way shorter than I thought it would be.
