there we go, thats what I have been waiting for, winning drives these people underground for a while but not to worry the first time the cards lose a few games they will be back to tell us this is the worst team, worst organization, worst manager etc
When starting pitchers pitch really well and go deep into games Oli doesn't have enough chances to really blow the game.
So no credit for lineups or managing 8 wins in a row? Longest of the year with the Dogturdscardsfaninla wrote: ↑11 May 2025 15:21 pmWhen starting pitchers pitch really well and go deep into games Oli doesn't have enough chances to really blow the game.
Another benefit of good starting pitching!
So Hesley walking 4 in Boston was on Oli? When the BP coughs up leads, it's not Oli on the mound. He's got to use the resources he has. Do you know of an alternate choice he has?cardsfaninla wrote: ↑11 May 2025 15:21 pmWhen starting pitchers pitch really well and go deep into games Oli doesn't have enough chances to really blow the game.

After Mother's day last year we won at a 55% clip with terrible production for RISP. This year before the 8 game win streak our Pythag was .500.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑11 May 2025 15:24 pmSo no credit for lineups or managing 8 wins in a row? Do you give their manager credit?
It’s great that the team is playing well.jbrach wrote: ↑11 May 2025 15:05 pmthere we go, thats what I have been waiting for, winning drives these people underground for a while but not to worry the first time the cards lose a few games they will be back to tell us this is the worst team, worst organization, worst manager etc
Disagree - we would have easily been a playoff team last year if we hadn’t started with that disastrous first month. And now we’ve started a lot faster over the first six weeks than in 2024. So extrapolating the last 162 games through the rest of the season we should make the playoffs and probably win the division. You can’t call that not good.Bomber1 wrote: ↑11 May 2025 15:49 pmIt’s great that the team is playing well.jbrach wrote: ↑11 May 2025 15:05 pmthere we go, thats what I have been waiting for, winning drives these people underground for a while but not to worry the first time the cards lose a few games they will be back to tell us this is the worst team, worst organization, worst manager etc
Heck they might be in first place in a few days.
But come on, this team has not been good, and the organization has gone downhill, for a while. And everyone except Cranny and Tank admit it.
8 game winning streaks don’t erase that.
Well, I guess some people can never be …..you know, just happy.Bomber1 wrote: ↑11 May 2025 15:49 pmIt’s great that the team is playing well.jbrach wrote: ↑11 May 2025 15:05 pmthere we go, thats what I have been waiting for, winning drives these people underground for a while but not to worry the first time the cards lose a few games they will be back to tell us this is the worst team, worst organization, worst manager etc
