How To Kill a Troll
10-0 complete game shutout. Nice.
Re: How To Kill a Troll
Do y’all ever just enjoy a win or is the first thing on your mind always “take that you mean jerks on cardstalk?”

I really did enjoy the win. Sorry to offend.
Re: How To Kill a Troll
I guess if a poster enjoys a 6 game win streak they’re a boot licking homer?

What is the point of dwelling on the past few years? Why not experience a little unbridled joy as we watch serious young talent achieve mass and show promise for the future.desertrat23 wrote: ↑09 May 2025 21:15 pmIf they enjoy it? No.
If they think it excuses everything that’s happened the past few years? Yes.
Not having expressed anger over some discouraging things that have happened doesn’t make one a boot licker all by itself. Taking problems with a grain of salt makes it easy for me to enjoy the positives popping up more openly.
I never thought things were as bad as some insisted. Still, I’m sure it was helpful for the discouraged to vent.

If a last-place finish and one playoff series win since 2015 “isn’t as bad as some insisted,” I have no idea what we’re talking about here.hugeCardfan wrote: ↑10 May 2025 06:31 amWhat is the point of dwelling on the past few years? Maybe they’re talking about all the winning seasons over the last 10 years. I believe in the top third in MLB regular season wins over those years.desertrat23 wrote: ↑10 May 2025 08:16 amIf a last-place finish and one playoff series win since 2015 “isn’t as bad as some insisted,” I have no idea what we’re talking about here.hugeCardfan wrote: ↑10 May 2025 06:31 amWhat is the point of dwelling on the past few years? Spillborg on last night's broadcast said it best...he wished his favorite team has been as successful as the Cards have been

Yes, the announcers yesterday sure had a different perspective of the Cardinals than many CT posters, didn’t they?scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑10 May 2025 08:31 amIgnore a recent NL Central division crowndesertrat23 wrote: ↑10 May 2025 08:16 amIf a last-place finish and one playoff series win since 2015 “isn’t as bad as some insisted,” I have no idea what we’re talking about here.hugeCardfan wrote: ↑10 May 2025 06:31 amWhat is the point of dwelling on the past few years? Is it just the last winner of the WS is the only reputable baseball team?desertrat23 wrote: ↑10 May 2025 08:40 amOne division crown (and a sweep following that crown).scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑10 May 2025 08:31 amIgnore a recent NL Central division crowndesertrat23 wrote: ↑10 May 2025 08:16 amIf a last-place finish and one playoff series win since 2015 “isn’t as bad as some insisted,” I have no idea what we’re talking about here.hugeCardfan wrote: ↑10 May 2025 06:31 amWhat is the point of dwelling on the past few years? Actually, they talked about all the successes the Cardinals have had, including only 2 losing seasons in the last 25 years.desertrat23 wrote: ↑10 May 2025 08:43 am“Just be better than the lousy organization Ryan Spilborghs played for” is not a model to live up to.Cranny wrote: ↑10 May 2025 08:36 amYes, the announcers yesterday sure had a different perspective of the Cardinals than many CT posters, didn’t they?scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑10 May 2025 08:31 amIgnore a recent NL Central division crowndesertrat23 wrote: ↑10 May 2025 08:16 amIf a last-place finish and one playoff series win since 2015 “isn’t as bad as some insisted,” I have no idea what we’re talking about here.hugeCardfan wrote: ↑10 May 2025 06:31 amWhat is the point of dwelling on the past few years?
