Henderson, 23, went 2-1 with a 2.79 ERA (6 ER/19.1 IP) & 24 SO across his first four Double-A starts. He did not allow more than 3 runs in any start, highlighted by 5.0 scoreless IP and 8 SO in his first start on 4/10.

Kross, 22, slashed .288/.376/.671 and led all #STLCards minor leaguers in HR (6), RBI (29), R (18), XBH (14) & OPS (1.047).

He capped a four-game homer streak with a cycle on 4/15 vs. Clearwater, going 4-for-5 with 6 RBI.

I think I like the Springfield lineup better than the Memphis lineup.

me too...but the Springfield lineup has decided to stop scoring the last 2 weeks....while Memphis has been on a heater all season.


Strange...I would've never have guessed it would happen this way early on.

I've never really paid attention to Ixan Henderson before- he's on my radar now. Also, am interested to monitor Padilla and Rodriguez this season. Looks like Rodriuez had a good day. Dude collects xbh's. Hard to be mad at that.

I haven't been paying attention, but has JJ been DHing since he got back or has he been playing SS as well?

Okay, good to know. Was a little worried there when he was out with sickness that there may have been something more to that, but if he's playing the field, then I'm assuming he's fine.

I hope he's fine. He was on a serious heater before he got sick. He didn't play poorly last week, but he wasn't the same either. And he only played 4 of 6 games last week...mainly b/c of all the Double Headers. I know he wasn't 100%, I hope he is now, and gets back towards the point where he was seeing the baseball as a big beach ball...very soon.

#STLCards C Iván Herrera is scheduled to catch seven innings tonight for Triple-A Memphis, manager Oliver Marmol said.

Herrera, who suffered a bone bruise in his left knee on April 6, is close to rejoining the Cards. If tonight goes well, he could join the team on the road trip.
