I guess this is another instance where Saggese couldn’t have started. Not when you have a stud like Barrero

I hope Winn isn't out too long because Barrero messed up on 2 throws at SS!

It wouldn't be a Mozeliak team without a washed-up vet no one else in MLB wants taking a middle infield spot and blocking a young stud in the process.

Question for the forum ... Why is the player with the 2nd highest batting avg. and 3rd best OPS batting 8th in the lineup ?

Last year , we saw Winn batting at the tail end. When he started hitting well and some suggested moving him up , a few said 'oh leave him 9th where he is comfortable. They finally moved him up and he did very well .

Trying to figure out why Oli keeps him 8th . Just don't see other teams we play have their 2nd highest batting average of their starters buried at the end of the lineup . Any ideas why Oli keeps him at 8th ?

I don't mind Scott being low in the order for pretty much the reason why folks said to keep Winn where he was. I think right now, as rookies (or rookie-adjacent...whatever Scott is) just let them get confidence where they are so that he's ready when he is moved up.

If I'm moving a rookie up in the order, I want him to believe he's hotter than a $2 pistol like he believes in his own being.

His batting average and speed hitting low in the lineup (as well as Winn now that he is hitting) is why Noot leads the team in runs batted in.
