that seems better than RIGHT one to me ... on ground ball to SS, you usually are planting your right foot putting weight on your back foot in throwing to 1st

Neither is good for a pro athlete, but you are right about the plant foot factor. He unloads off that back leg.

Hopefully they can slot Saggese at SS and play him an extended time. He'(poop) at every level and looks the part defensively.

With the ankle, it is probably at a minimum a couple of days and at the worst, which we shall probably find out tomorrow, a couple of months.
It looked like he stumbled trying to get away from 3B after the ball got away from Alonso.

He may have gaps in his defense, but one gap he does not possess is charging in on the balls and slinging them over to 1st. Really any play that requires a sling he seems to pull off.
