Sign Bo Bichette 2026

Bloom has signed players. Trevor Story, Masataka Yoshita. Do we know for a fact BDW is going to chop Chaims balls off. Why wouldn't Bloom think about a multi-year veteran. Maybe Bichette would be looking for a rebound year or a 3 year type of deal like Bellinger took, if he has another so-so year.

RF Nootbaar
2B Donovan
LF Bichette
C Herrera
3B Wetherholt
1B Contreras
DH Gorman
SS Winn
CF Scott II

Can't tell me that lineup wouldn't have upside. That's just with one player that you might get a chance with at a discount. Seems like you don't get many chances at potential players like that.

Someone tell us about his statcast. Does he have a serious problem?

You’re moving Bichette to LF?

Rangers moved Ian Desmond to the outfield back then, it's not wild. Bichette is not a + defensive SS.

Might work out as well as Desmond did, he was a negative WAR player after leaving Washington.

Bichette has a .629 OPS over the last 2 years.

Deal Arenado for a starting pitcher with a similar veteran contract and spare piece type. A new Fedde. Is Kutter Crawford attainable. Then you can deal Fedde this season. Deal him early somewhere like Orioles or Yankees. Get some one to really choke on themselves and overpay.

Then next year you go

Liberatore, Pallante, Kutter, Mathews, McGreevy

Are we dealing Gray or no

In my opinion, the Cardinals will not sign meaningful free agents next year. They will let the season play out, evaluate players they have and players they receive at the deadline, and then let the lockout play out in 2027 before they consider signing any significant contracts. They may have more obligations due to a salary floor, there may be more opportunities due to a salary cap, revenue sharing, or an international draft. In short, they will further shed contracts (Gray, Contreras) and hope for more favorable rules to work with after a lockout.

It makes perfect sense, now that he hits like a utility infielder

When the rangers got him they got a big season out of him after several down years.

They’re not spending money going into a labor stoppage.

This “reset” isn’t a singular season.

No way we replace Winn’s pre-arb salary with a $25 million dollar a year contract. We need to see what we have. And attendance was down. Let’s focus on the public funding for stadium maintenance.

It would be a 1-3 year deal. You really think the DeWitts are going to hard-nose a 80m payroll?
