Not MLB Players

Walker
206 .270 .554

Gorman
.172 .275 .585

So how much longer do we need to see this? Going on years for both. They both have obvious holes in their swings so there’s no mystery why they don’t perform. Send them down to AAA and if they don’t over perform there for an extended period…..its over move on

Scott was a similar case. Seems all teams have these guys. Where do we get a replacement level player. Walker defense is now an asset.

Scott is progressing along how a young developing player should. He just got a taste last season. We’re into years 3-4 with the other 2 and they’re regressing

But his bat makes him a negative asset.

It certainly does.
But if he improves any at all, and if he gets even better in right, he will be an asset.

Cardinals are nothing more than a mid-major team striving for a participation trophy. Sad

He can’t hit ML pitching consistently. This used to be a prerequisite to be in the ML. Players like both of them used to stay in the minors. Especially since neither had a real position. The only reason they were promoted is because this org needed desperately to prove they were advancing talent

I don’t think prove was the issue. Maybe need. Needed desperately to advance talent.

Agreed send them all down….I don’t put Baker and Burly in same class as Walker/Gorman. Although for some reason Burly is somehow a starter

Gorman and Walker are supposed to get “runway” this year. Let them play. Burleson and Baker don’t even have the potential to be impact starters in the big leagues. Gorman does. Let him play.

Gorman seems to miss more hittable pitches than Walker whereas Walker seems to chase more than Gorman. Therefore I have more hope left for Walker.

.273 is not a negative asset.

Scott was a guy rushed to majors due to 3 injuries to cf. While walker was arguably rushed to majors, this is now year 3. This is also now year 4 for gorman and hes clearly regressed in year 3 and 4 from year 2 and even from his first year.
