Cubs may ensure Cards clean house at deadline

If the Chicago Cubs continue on their present pace (20-13 ) winning 60% of their games , they would win 97 games in the NL Central.
( Reds trail the Cubs by 2 games with Brewers 4 back and Cardinals 6 behind with just 33 games played .)
The Cubs appear they could run away from the others so the Cardinals may know well ahead of the trade deadline not only are they out of the division hunt but any wildcard chance may be slim to none also.

There should be a lot of speculation on MLB shows about the Cardinals wheeling/dealing at the trade deadline especially with closer Helsley and also if their three 'no trade clause ' vets Gray /Arenado / Contreras would accept trades to potential contenders .
The rumors should be hot and heavy.

For Gray, both Cincinnati (Reds former team) and/ or Atlanta are both geographically closer to Nashville ( Gray's home and hometown area Smyrna )
than Nashville to St. Louis. (Sonny signed with Cardinals to be close to family/friends ). He would probably jump at the chance to go to Atlanta or Cincy .

Pisses me off to be out of it so (bleep) early and to not be able to get excited about games. Get these clowns running the show outta here and get some passionate talent in here to get this franchise back to being respectable. No way in hell the (bleep) st. Louis Cardinals should be the laughing stock of the division they've owned for a majority of the last however long

Is Gray The only player MLB that has to be catered to for some obsessive need to be an Uber ride from his hometown?? And why does this even matter? On the occasional off day in STL he drives over 4 hrs there and 4hrs back in same day?

BDWJr has already assured this will happen rfdan

He wants to shave as much payroll as possible and I'd bet even if the Cardinals are within 5 games of the scrubbies he'll still instruct Mo to deal Helsley, Fedde and Matz (NADO too if he'll waive, the others aren't going anywhere unless Mikolas changes his mind).

I still find it hilarious that last season the cardinals and cubs both won 83 games the cubs went out and picked up a player who is an MVP candidate in Tucker the cardinals did nothing and some fans said the cubs will suck and the cardinals will win the division because all of the cardinals players who sucked last season will be good this season

Isn't it a little neurotic to figure Gray's driving distance to home? Wherever he pitches he'll be in easy range of a major airport and he's flown before.

Cubs could blow the doors off the NLC but whatever they do the Cards should still move older and more expensive players for the best talent they can get. Bloom is supposed to be the talent evaluator and at some point he has to start rearranging player assets.
all City Connect uniforms are bozoesque.
Tastes vary but I like the Havana Sugar Kings vibe the Marlins worked last year.

I’m afraid that’s not possible. Moe is stuck at bullet 1 Nado. He’s stuck with no way of getting to bullet 2.

Keep pounding that drum
Even though you have no idea if it's true and that 'theory' has been basically debunked.
You're starting to remind me of rockotheclown. Jeebus

Please provide the article(s) that debunk it. Thanks.

What we do know is Moe squandered a whole offseason when he could have easily groomed the roster. Fedde or Helsley along with duplicative positions…..

It’s really not that hard.

We've already hashed this out and you have no idea if Mo pursued other trades or not.
Provide the article where Mo said he only tried to trade Nado and no one else.
Its not hard at all. You have zero proof but you keep on saying it like its gospel. Give it up.

Me too, but then I had the Reds last year.
