I thought it three years.Basil Shabazz wrote: ↑02 May 2025 12:56 pm Should there be a minimum tenure requirement as a Cardinal to be eligible for the Cardinals HOF?

Agree completely. Joe Torre imo shouldn't be in. Very good to great few years with the team but just that, a few years. Same with Tudor. Danny mc was promoting Steve Carlton. It's as if the Cards have to draft players who were great elsewhere but the Cards were just a minor part of the career.Jatalk wrote: ↑02 May 2025 12:48 pm I get a little frustrated at Hall of Fame. Seems like everyone gets in. I’m not sure all meet what I would consider the below criteria or definition of Hall of Famer. This is just my opinion and I’m sure many disagree
Exceptional Performance:
Hall of Famers consistently demonstrate a high level of skill and performance, often exceeding expectations for their position or role.
Tangible Milestones:
Achieving significant milestones, such as records, championships, awards, or other quantifiable achievements, is often a key factor.
Long-Term Consistency:
Many Hall of Fames value longevity and consistency in their performance, with sustained excellence over a career being a strong indicator.
Impact and Influence:
Hall of Famers often have a profound impact on their field, whether through their on-field contributions, leadership, or influence on the game or art form.
Respect and Recognition:
Induction into a Hall of Fame typically involves a formal selection process, with members of the Hall of Fame or experts in the field voting on who is worthy of recognition
