Make that 5 HR, Rice just went deep again. Only one HR this inning. He's improving.

Bowden Francis is trying to one up Gibson tonight. Red Sox just hit their 5th HR of the game, too. Up 7-0 on the Blue Jays in the 3rd inning.
Francis and Gibson's combined lines so far: 5.2 IP 19 H 16 R 10 HR

Mark Bowman in for relief of the defenseless Gibson.
Bowman was pretty hot stuff for the Cards 2016-17 but since has fallen down the food-chain, like four teams last year.
I had forgotten much about his quality years as a Cardinal. They could use his like this year. Most years, actually, he was that good.

Probably the same thing they said in April last year after he gave up two 3 run HRs against the Marlins in the 1st inning.
