How big of a hole does Bloom want?

He needs to put the lame duck out to pasture now, publicly put Mo out to pasture and start making moves. At least show the fans this club has a pulse and better days will return. This asinine strategy of running the same losing combinations out there everyday needs to stop
Miles
Fedde

I didn't know Bloom has full HR authority over the Cardinal organization. Perhaps you should contact the DeWitts with your concerns.

What does BDW do if he makes a move? Fire him and search again and start over? Perhaps the old man would appreciate someone with balls
He was already given the job and has a contract. Only change is the timeline…….

The DeWitts created this weird dual POBO arrangement where each one is kinda sorta in charge.

Did Bloom think the major league team was going to be any good this year

I don’t think thats the point. WC, Gray, NA, Miles, Matz, Fedde will be retired or close to it by the time this team is ever good again. Why wait till they get worse or injured. Deal them

If the team is realistically out of contention at the deadline, you may see them make a few deals.

If they are in contention for a WC, they either sit pat or possibly deal Arenado if the return suits them.

If they lead the division, they may add a bullpen arm. But I'd anticipate no activity.

No more or less than what they’ll get in a couple months

I have to believe that Bloom will have significant say as we get closer to the trade deadline.

Pasture now…

Start making moves..

Other than rearranging the deck chairs on the titanic…..what can he do?

Other clubs are still evaluating their teams….trades are seldom made in the first month of the season……

Put him charge now..sure….but any significant moves before the deadline is very unlikely…

Only BDWjr could make this happen and we all know he won't.

He'll keep his hatchet man in place for midseason payroll reduction moves (Helsley, Fedde, NADO.....).
