Down 7-0 they are on the verge of 4-23. The White Sox 41-121 finish may seem tame compared to what the Rockies do. At least Kris Bryant is under a full NTC through '28. Their stadium is beautiful and LoDo is nice. They need a real owner.

Altitude will doom that franchise as long as it's where it is.

True. I think it's even money on them being the first 30-something win team in the 162 game era.

How true, and how perceptive. Bud Black will doom it, too. Seven straight losing seasons.
Free agents pitchers won't sign there because their breaking pitches flatten out in the thin, dry air. Just ask Mike Hampton and Denny Neagle.
Hitters might be attracted by the Coors Field Effect, but then they're branded as home-only hitters. That may have delayed the great Todd Helton's path to Cooperstown.
Troy Tulowitzky claimed playing so many games there broke down his body, essentially retiring at 32. Did the same happen to Nolan Arenado?
