With his potential as a hitter and his youth, he needs regular at bats, somewhere.

Sigh. At least 4 redundant threads in just the past 9 days: https://interact.stltoday.com/forums/s ... mit=Search

And that's not counting several more that don't have the word "Saggese" in their title.

Yes, yes....but he hasn't updated us on his readiness for more Saggese AB's.

So...Marshall, are you ready? Should I play the Hank Williams, Jr song?

in about 6 more posts, he'll say "Burleson, and then something about Contreras and Walker's AB's."

This is going to be a fun thread, I just know it. I'm so excited

The usual trouble-makers doing their sad, mischievous thing. With a team that is "spinning it's wheels". Saggese has as much hitting potential as Walker, Gorman, Winn and Nootbaar. And maybe even Burleson as a pure hitter. Why so much of the same ole', same ole'? Try something else.

You’re right. It’s due to the “Arenado” problem.

Yep. If they were a contender, having Arenado around would definitely make sense. But, are they actually a contender ? If not. It's time for a young talent like Saggese to get experience for, hopefully, an organization that is focusing on the future.

So what? Move on to something else if it bothers you so much.

Ok. So I'm not one of the usual trouble makers. I know this will go in 1 ear and out the other. But here goes. No way no how does Thomas Saggesse have the potential of ANY of the guys you listed. No how no way is he getting at bats instead of them. That's why he's not in the lineup. He's a spot starter and pinch hitter unless someone gets injured. And don't be surprised if he's sent down in the near future. That's for his own good. Carry on.

Maybe instead spending so much time on the “bench” they can switch it up a bit?
He can sit in the bullpen.
Is he allowed to sit on the dugout roof?
In the front row?
