Cardinals won their first 3 games of the season and since have gone 7-15. Cards are now setting at 10-15 which is the second worst record in NL and 5th worst record in MLB. Cards should be sellers this year. If they do become sellers and finish where they are now or lower the bad news is they still cant draft in top 5 the following year due to new rules.

Isn’t everyone excited watching the YUTES get their chance to shine……..
To me the YUTES kinda look like they’ve always looked but I’m sure the “breakouts” are just around the corner

Cranny can give you a list of can't-miss prospects that's a mile long.

Easier to give a list of can’t hit “prospects.”

The worse stat is that the Cards are 5.5 games behind the first place cubs. Yuk.

And the joke is that even if the Cards have the worst record, they will be punished at the 2026 draft as they can draft no higher than 10th for having two straight seasons of picking under the 10th slot.

While your 2nd worst record in NL and 5th worst in MLB is correct, the team may not be as bad as the record indicates.
The Cardinals are the only cellar dweller in any of the 6 divisions that have a positive run differential . The Cards have scored more runs than they have allowed. 120 runs scored with 118 allowed . Math wise, a +2 would usually have a record of 13-12 .
The other bottom teams are in the RED (minus column) and a few of them big time. The Cards have yet to win a one-run game (0-5) and have lost all their extra inning games too.
Their record is terrible . Their overall performance has been decent though. 8th best in runs scored , The Starting pitching has been good too.
The achilles heel has been several blown relief performances ..1 by Helsley and 3 or 4 by Hernandez, JoJo ha chipped in too .
Don't know how the team will rebound from several of the gut wrenching blown losses , their performance in 2025 looks more like a 12-13 or 13-12 team than a 5-10 team .

Inability to win the close ones is a losing proposition. One of the prime MLB examples - the 1960 World Series:
Game 1 - Pirates 6 - Yankees 4
Game 2 - Yankees 16 - Pirates 3
Game 3 - Yankees 10 - Pirates 0
Game 4 - Pirates 3 - Yankees 2
Game 5 - Pirates 5 - Yankees 2
Game 6 - Yankees 12 - Pirates 0
Game 7 - Pirates 10 - Yankees 9
