He has 1 HR and 7 RBIs. And has drawn only 5 walks. No power, and regression coming for BA and OBP.

With all due respect.......I loved Goldy.....BUT......he is over the hill and had 2 subpar seasons in a row. A solid April vs. 2 subpar years is not a good measure. The organization did a good thing for both. They gave Goldy a shot to win a Series and allowed the team to move forward. This is nothing more than win/win.

Last I checked he and floundering Contreras both had 1 dinger and 7 rbis.

Goldschmidt normally has a subpar April, then heats up with the weather. The fact that he’s making good contact now may denote a great season ahead. Hope it happens - he’s one of the “good guys”.

Golfy is a very good complimentary player. Perfect fit for the Yankees. No pressure to be "the guy". He could finish the season batting .300 with 10 hr and 40 rbi and they'll be fine with that.

As a Cardinal, he had to be "the guy". That ship left harbor.

Good for Goldy. He's a class act. Nice way to finish his career in a no pressure job.
