This is about as good of lineup placement, without Arenado, as the current personnel allows vs RHP. If it's successful, it will be interesting to see how Marmol adjusts the lineup with Arenado. And if Saggese continues to outhit Walker, Gorman and Burleson. Will Saggese remain in the lineup? Go Cards !

It's a great day to be a Cardinal fan when the most optimistic thing of the day is the idiot manager moves the worst hitter into the cleanup spot, instead of the 2.

The infatuation with Burleson is mind-boggling.

Five rbis and zero home runs. Few hits. At some point you are at the bottom of the stat rung.

Depends on one's definition of 'cleanup ' spot . Batting 4 may have two runners on base with one out as Contreras 4th spot comes up .
Contreras can 'cleanup ' the base crowding situation by bouncing into a double play , erasing all the runners , and ending the top half of that inning. A real chance to 'cleanup ' ! :D

Clay Holmes will be tough. 2-1. Has 28k’s in 19 innings, almost 1.5 per inning. We will K a bunch today. But walks 5 per 9, and 8.9 hits per 9.

1.475 whip. Coming off very good win.

Came from Pittsburgh to Yanks then Mets.
